Join this practice near the heart of a historic New Hampshire mill town just an hour north of Boston. They’re seeking a new associate to help maintain a tradition of excellent care, serving their community since 1951. Now treating a fourth generation of patients, many folks in their 80s and beyond have never been to another dentist, and their crowns and fillings are evidence of the team’s decades-long commitment to quality. The staff also features a lot of consistency, as some boast over twenty years with the practice.
The practice’s current setting, both modern and charming, exhibits a warm vintage industrial aesthetic that reflects the town’s personality. Consisting of four operatories, with space plumbed for a fifth, it reflects the owner’s ongoing interest in growth. Sharing a building with a pediatrician, a chiropractor, a neurologist, and a massage therapist, and just across the parking lot from a family physician, this prime location allows ample opportunity for cross referrals.
Balancing the historic with a commitment to ecological sustainability, this practice owner pioneered “green dentistry” within the state more than a dozen years ago and continues to strive to improve in that vein. A reputation for innovation and conscientious environmentalism further attracts a patient base which shares these values.
The owner dentist is highly committed to an open, pragmatic approach to dentistry and is willing to mentor an enthusiastic and like-minded candidate.
He explains his philosophy of care: “There's no one-size-fits-all approach, and very seldom do we push idealized treatment plans. We certainly provide comprehensive care to all patients, with details varying on their needs, interests, and financial resources. If a practitioner has the philosophy that most patients should be presented with ‘optimized’ five-figure plans for which they are expected to acquire significant outside financing, our practice may not be the best fit. We take as much pride in providing a recovering addict with a $300 flipper which allows them to confidently seek gainful employment as we do in completing implant cases or a 6-unit anterior bridge. We strive to present treatment options in terms of ‘need to do versus should do versus could do.’ In my 20 years’ experience, I’ve learned that patients respect this approach, and ultimately are more loyal and consequently more likely to accept future treatment. Productivity is based on trust and relational history. We do quite well financially by NOT being aggressive. The industry increasingly has that reputation, but by taking a different tack, we've been successful on a number of levels.”
Beyond the practice, the thriving downtown’s well-maintained historic mill buildings now house mixed-use commercial and residential occupants. Other brick commercial buildings and the classic white community church with its steeple clock round out the Robert Frost-like tableau. Situated between the University of New Hampshire and several excellent schools, including the prestigious Philips Exeter Academy, the area’s residents strongly value education. Across the bay lies Portsmouth, home to numerous excellent restaurants and artistic institutions, while an hour’s drive brings you to lakes and mountains, and the ocean beckons just minutes away. For world-class theater, concerts, museums, and sporting events, Boston is only an hour by car or train.
This unique and thriving practice is ready for a new associate excited to apply their skills working with a dynamic team while enjoying a vibrant yet relaxed lifestyle. Interested in this rare opportunity? Create your ADA Practice Transitions profile now!
